The Astros are hitting over .300 as a team against Eduardo Rodriguez with an OPS of nearly 1.000. Bregman typically hits third after Altuve and Brantley. Altuve is 5-13 against Rodriguez and Brantley is only 1-6 but has zero strike outs so he at least puts the ball in play and will move runners over. Despite all his struggles he still only gave up 1 run and helped his team move on. He gets the ball again tonight, at home against their rival giants. He already stole home this series and will take the extra base when possible (stretch a single into a double.). LIIC Season 14 - Pick 4 - Zunino

Zunino hits the same on the road and at home, about .220. It's the Rays so he may get pinch him for or he may be batting ninth, I cant wait to post this until I see the lineups so if you follow, maybe make sure he's in the lineup and ideally hitting 5th or 6th. No matter what he should get a couple at bats against Rodriguez and for a guy who strikes out a lot he has hit the ball hard quite often in his limited number of at bats. This tells me he sees the ball well against the southpaw and thats backed up by his .342 batting average against lefties this year. My hope is it only takes an at bat or two and I dont have to worry about him getting lifted for a pinch hitter. Either way the 0.5 total bases at -115 is too good for me to pass up and Ill go with Zunino in the second MLB game tonight.

LIIC Season 14 - Pick 3 - Brantley

Lynn has been good all year but one team that hits him well are the Astros. Lynn, like most pitchers is better at home, his ERA is only slightly worse on the road but he gives up about 0.25 extra baserunners an inning on the road. His underlying metrics say that his road ERA should actually be higher. His post ASB ERA also went up over 1.5 runs so he was definitely a much better pitcher earlier in the year. Brantley is hitting second tonight and will get 4-5 at bats. Career against Lynn Brantley is 10-26 with two doubles and homer. He also crushes righties to the tune of .363 and sandwiched between Altuve and Bregman I dont anticipate his having to face more than 1 lefty specialist during the game. Brantley is a professional hitter who just hits, he hits righties and he hits Lynn. I think he's likely to get multiple hits but even if he doesnt a double is all we need. I'm going with Brantley to get over 1.5 total bases at +125.
