Pick 1: Jamie Benn Under 2.5 Shots on Goal (-155)
I have been working on a model picking NHL shots and after a few hundred results unders have dramatically outperformed. The first pick for LIIC is Benn under. He has only hit 3 shots in 1 of his last 3 games but 0 of his last 3 road games.
Tonight he faces a NJ that is elite at preventing shots on goal. The Devils give us 13% fewer shots on goal than the average team and when at home that number actually becomes 16%.
Benn will take some shots but the hope today is the Devils can block one or two and keep him under the 2.5 line to cash the first pick for me this week.
