There's nothing wrong with not betting on everything.

It's tempting, don't get me wrong. There will always be a game, a match, a tournament. Another promo, another boost, another sure thing or lock. A new formula, a new platform, a new payout tier. Every bit of it, largely intentionally, is designed to ensnare us, to keep us in an endlessly repeating cycle that more often than not leads to less money in your pocket and more money for the books.

I'm on a cold streak. No doubt about it. It has been more than a week since I had a winning day, and it sucks. I woke up this morning thinking I'd deposit a unit or two worth of $$$ into my accounts and look for the winners in tonight's 2-game slate and then I remembered something. I don't have to.

I do this for fun. I spend hours each day prepping charts, researching picks, and doing writeups because I enjoy it, and if I want to keep enjoying it, I need to give myself a pass on days like today. So, I'll throw the literal dollar or two in my Underdog account at a ticket or two that seem promising, but I'm not going to let myself sink hours into it when I don't have to.

Plenty of y'all are grinding and either finding success or struggling like me and honestly more power to you. I'll never tell someone else they should or should not bet, but I will remind whoever happens to read this that you can always choose not to.
