Josi is one of the best shooting defenders in the league. Not many guys on D so consistently hit shot lines of 3.5. He's hit this in 5 of his last 10 overall, but at home he is a different kind of player. He's cashed in 7 of 9 home games this season with an average of exactly 5 shots on goal per game. Last season he cashed this line in all three meetings against Arizona, with an average of 5.67 shots on goal per game, and has earned 4+ in 9/15 H2H match-ups going back to 2017. Have not seen an alt line for him yet, but if you can get 5+ for at least +125 I highly recommend a unit on it.
Colorado @ Dallas:
Dallas averages 30.6 shots/game and effectively the same at Home. Avalanche allow 34.2 shots/game and 36.2 per game on the road.
Mikko Rantanen Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (+125, 1 unit to win 1.25 units)
So i realize the analysis above is for Dallas, but one Avalanche player does make my list. Mikko Rantanen. For whatever reason, Rantanen likes playing against Dallas. He has earned 4+ shots on goal in 8 of his last 12 meetings against Dallas and earned 5+ shots on goal in 2/3 H2H match-ups last season. 7 of those last 12 meetings spanning the last couple seasons were also 5+ finishes for Mikko. At +125, his hit rate far exceeds the implied odds of the play. With Nichushkin and Landeskog still out, I like him to continue sharing the load with MacKinnon who has been struggling to hit the 4.5 line lately.
Ottawa @ San Jose:
San Jose only averages 29.9 shots/game and 30.8 at Home, but Ottawa allows an average of 34.1 per game and all the way up to 39.8 on the road.
Erik Karlsson Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-180, 1.8 units to win 1 unit)
Really no reason Karlsson should still be at a 2.5 line, especially at home. He has now cashed in 8 consecutive home games and earned 4+ in six of those eight games. His average in this stretch is 5/game. A few years ago he earned a 9-shot game against Ottawa, but otherwise has hit this line in half of his games against them. They are allowing way more shots on goal on the road, and considering how consistent Karlsson has been at home, I think 3+ is even worth the -180 price.
