While we will not be blessed with the hockey prowess of the Coyotes & Canucks this evening, the NHL bigwigs have bestowed on us 15 Saturday games, with 13 taking place tonight.

I'm not going to lie, digging through 15 games worth of player props and kicking the tires on props that look promising can be a lot. However, with so many games there are plenty of good looks that one can take advantage of - I'm going to highlight 7 props that I think are truly promising in tonight's contests.

Pietrangelo OVER 2.5 Shots on Goal
Hit in 4 straight games and 3 of 4 previous matchups with Edmonton, Pietrangelo is in a good spot to continue his recent shooting spree tonight vs the Oilers. Edmonton is near the top of the league in shots allowed and shots allowed specifically to defensemen. With Vegas shooting at a high rate even while on the road, things look good for 3+ shots in this game.

Stamkos OVER 3 Shots on Goal
While hit or miss at home this season, on the road Stamkos has hit in 7 of 8 games, averaging 9 attempts per game. Facing off against the Predators tonight in Nashville, both teams are on small winning streaks that they will be looking to extend. Nashville is in the top half of the league in shots allowed per game and I trust Stamkos to get the job done for us in this spot.

Faulk OVER 2.5 Shots on Goal
The Blues are winners of 5 straight and faceoff against the lowly mighty Ducks of Anaheim tonight. The Ducks struggle to stop opposing teams from shooting, particularly from the blue line. Faulk can sometimes struggle with consistency, but he hit in each of his previous matchups with Anaheim and he is averaging 5.8 attempts per game, we just need him to find the goal with 3 of them.

Heiskanen OVER 2.5 Shots on Goal
Another guy that excels on home ice, Heiskanen has hit in 3 of 4 overall and each of his last 4 games in Dallas. He's averaging 6.6 attempts per game and squaring off against an Islanders squad that is middle of the road in shots allowed, though he did hit against them in their previous matchup.

Scheifele OVER 2.5 Shots on Goal
Matched up with the Penguins tonight, Scheifele has 3+ shots in 3 of his last 4 games and 2 straight on home ice. He's averaging 5.4 attempts per game and Pittsburgh is giving up plenty of shots and are particularly susceptible to shots from the Center position.

Josi OVER 3.5 Shots on Goal
TBH just kind of feeling this one tonight. Preds have won 3 in a row and will try to keep to their winning ways vs Tampa. Josi hit in both games vs the Bolts last season and has been hitting consistently on home ice, recording 4+ shots in 6 of 8 home games. While he averages 7.4 attempts overall, at home that bumps up slightly to 8.2. Tampa is middle of the road as a target and they are fairly stingy to defensemen, I just think Josi is matchup-proof when he is locked in, which I'm thinking he will be tonight.

Devon Toews OVER 0.5 Assists
Sharing top duo duties with Makar, Toews has an assist in 6 of his last 7 games. Tonight they play the Washington Capitals, who will be starting Darcy Kuemper, the goalie that helped Colorado hoist the Cup last season. The Capitals have given up 4+ goals in 5 of their last 6 games while the Avs have 3+ goals in 6 of their last 7 games. I think Colorado will be gunning for Kuemper tonight and I have to think sharing the ice with their top shooting talent, Toews will be involved.

Best of luck to everyone placing wagers tonight. Should be a fun night of hockey!
