Tonight, the Montreal Canadiens will be on the road in Columbus to take on the Blue Jackets for the first time this season. These two teams have played 10 times dating back to  October 2022, and majority of these matchups have been fast paced, and has had high totals in terms of shots, making this a great matchup to target some overs.

I have found two props in this one, one on each side that I am going to break down for this game tonight.

Boone Jenner Over 3.5 Shots On Goal (+100)

The Columbus Blue Jackets have been decimated with injuries to start the season, losing Zack Werenski and Patrick Laine for the foreseeable future. On top of that Johnny Gaudreau hasn't been producing like the Blue Jackets thought he would when they signed him this offseason, so someone has had to step up.

Jenner has been that guy over his last 10 games, he is averaging 5.7 shot attempts per game, and that has jumped up to 7.0 attempts per game over his last five after the Blue Jackets lost Werenski and Laine in back to back games.

On top of that, Jenner has covered in six of his last seven games, and has now covered in six games straight and four straight games at home.

On the year, the Canadiens are allowing 37.71 shots per game on the road which is the seventh most in that NHL, and Jenner is the only guy left on this roster with a shot prop line, that is getting consistent volume, and I am willing to ride this streak until the wheels fall off.

Brendan Gallagher Over 2.5 Shots On Goal (-110)

Gallagher has gone viral a couple times this season, and it has been for all the wrong reasons, but he has been having a good season from a shot production standpoint. Gallagher has covered this line in five of his last 10 games, but has been a machine on the road this season, covering in six of the seven Canadiens road games, while averaging 5.2 shot attempts per game over his last five games on the road.

Gallagher primarily attempts most of his shots at 5 on 5, as he is only getting 2nd powerplay unit time, but the Blue Jackets are a fairly disciplined team having the 6th lowest PK/TOI per game average.

Further more, Gallagher is listed on Montreal's second line, and should get consistent matchups against the Blue Jackets depleted depth who have had to step and play more minutes in the absence of Werenski and Laine. I think Gallagher can keep this streak going here, in what I think will be a very faced pace, high event game.
