Smaller slate for MLB but we have found a spot we really like. Tonight's Pine Prop of the Day is Robby Ray 6 K's + Marcus Semien to record a hit at -114.

Semien: Marcus has been on an absolute tear as of late. He is batting .351 in the month of September and is currently on an 8 game hitting streak. He's hit safely in 15 of 18 September games, and is sporting a 1.001 OPS in those 18 games. Today he faces Tucker Davidson, who has struggled this season for the Angels. Davidson struggles with command, walking 14.9% of batters and only striking out 13%. On the season, Davidson has allowed a .274 batting average to righties, versus a .192 to lefties. Semien on the season has a 123 WRC+ versus lefties and should have the advantage in this matchup everywhere.

Ray: Robby Ray has been struggling as of late, but I think this is a great bounce back spot. Oakland has the second lowest OPS versus lefties this season, only behind the Miami Marlins. They strikeout at a 25% clip to southpaws as a team. What makes Ray a great strikeout pitcher is his ability to strikeout hitters from both sides of the plate. Against Righties, Ray has a 27% K Rate, and against lefties, a 31% K rate. Lastly, Ray has had great success versus this Oakland team all season. Ray hit this in all 3 of his starts versus Oakland this season, and has hit this number in 6 of his last 8.
