The Orioles and the Mariners will square off tonight in Seattle, which will feature a pitching matchup between two guys both in their first seasons as MLB starting pitchers. The Orioles will be sending RHP Tyler Wells to the bump, and the Mariners will be sending George Kirby to the mound to counter.

Tyler Wells has been as good as advertised if not better. He is sitting with a 3.34 ERA and a 1.10 WHIP, but both have been coming down recently. In the month of June, Wells has a 3-0 record and a 3.57 ERA, over his last 5 outings he has only given up at least 3 runs once. Wells is coming off of once of his best outings of the year, where he through 5 innings and allowed 0 earned runs. Wells is not going to get himself in trouble, and typically does not get hit hard. I like him to has some success against this Mariners line up.

On the other side, George Kirby is having an equally impressive rookie campaign. He is sitting with a 3.12 ERA and a 1.12 WHIP. Kirby has also only allowed at least 3 runs once in his last 5 starts, and is also coming off of a scoreless outing against the Oakland Athletics. Kirby has only walked 6 batters through 49 innings this year, he is not going to help this Orioles offence out tonight by giving free passes.

The Mariners are 6-3-1 to the under over their last 10, and the Orioles are 8-2 to the under over that same time span. I like this game to go under tonight as well.

Official Pick: Baltimore Orioles @ Seattle Mariners - Game Total u7.5 Runs (-105)
