Pick #2: Ronald Acuna stolen bases over 0.5 (+285) DK
Giving the stolen bases another try here. Acuna is healthy and has been running every chance he gets. Despite getting picked off yesterday he still stole a base later in the game. He has 4 steals in his last 30 at bats and basically always has the green light.
Today he faces Hernandez who is not the easiest to steal on. He averages only about 0.4 steals per 9 which buts him as above league average, not elite. This play however is against the Marlins catcher. Nick Fortes has been getting run on his entire career. In just 44 major league innings this year batters have run 8 times on him. That's an absurd number and it's impressive he actually caught two of them. I dont think he continues with a 25% CS% especially since he has been getting run on his entire minor league career as well. In the minors he has more stolen bases against than games caught and that puts him in a category with Melendez on KC and just about no one else.
I expect the Braves to run today and if Hernandez exits early they will likely run even more. If Acuna gets on in the first he will likely steal and I wouldn't put it past him to swipe 3rd if given the chance today. Let's see if I can hit on a SB pick today an go with Acuna over 0.5 SB at +285.
