With a ten-game slate, there are plenty of viable spots to look for potential goals, but there are two games in particular I want a piece of.

I'm looking at the Carolina side against Buffalo, and Montreal against Ottawa.

The reasoning there is simply goal-scoring trends in their location.

Carolina is averaging 4.0 goals per game in their last five on the road, while Buffalo is allowing 3.2 goals/game at home.

Montreal has had a steady presence at home, averaging 3.4 goals per game in their past five, while Ottawa is allowing 3.2 per game on the road.

As you may have gleaned, I'm really just looking for an intersection of averages over 3.0, and we've got it in these games.

With the spots targeted, I look for the steadiest production lately, and I've found it in Sebastian Aho and Cole Caufield.

Sebastian Aho: Points in Last Month

Aho is rolling, with a point in seven straight games. He's been a big reason for the Hurricanes road success as well, with a point in seven of his last ten on away ice.

Cole Caufield: Home Points in Last Ten Games

Caufield has been involved no matter his location, but I felt his home production deserved the spotlight here.

Montreal's best player has registered 14 points in his last ten at home, and given the soft opponent tonight, I like him to continue that production.
