There are moments in a big NHL slate when a game so clearly sticks out to start the day, and today's shining example is the Winnipeg Jets vs the Vegas Golden Knights.

These teams met just one week ago, and Winnipeg handled things easily, winning 7-3.

The numbers suggest a similar type of goal-scoring output should repeat itself.

Winnipeg's Recent Goals Scored

While this chart does show some volatility, you're looking at a Winnipeg offense extremely capable of pouring on goals.

At home, they're averaging 4.0 goals scored per game in their last five. 6 of the 11 games above had a total above four, impressive volume.

Just as we see the Jets more consistently score at home, the same can be said for the Golden Knights's goaltending issues on the road.

Vegas: Recent Goals Against on the Road

Vegas has let six of their last seven opponents score 3+ goals when on the road, averaging 4.8 allowed per game in their past five.

Not shown above is last night's performance against Minnesota, a 3-0 defeat.

Again, it's worth noting that the 7-goal output you see in this chart is against this same Winnipeg team they play tonight.

These teams met in January as well, and Winnipeg scored five times.

I don't see much changing, especially with Vegas coming off a back-to-back.

I think loading up on some goal-scorers or points props makes a ton of sense, but I'm keeping it simple with a plus-money play.
