Pick 6: Sydney Thunder ML (-165)

Tonight, the Syndey Thunder take on Hobart Hurricanes for the 2nd time this season, having won the first by chasing Hobart down for 140 runs with 16 balls in hand. Sydney is the only team this year that has managed to beat the Perth Scorchers twice, who currently lead the points table and look likely to secure first place. Sydney has featured some fantastic bowling from Sandhu and McAndrew who each have 8 wickets this season, along with the sixth highest wickettaker so far this season in Daniel Sams with 14 to his name.

Their batting has largely been carried by Jason Sangha this season, who has the 5th best batting average in the league at 58.5 runs. The team has also featured a few big bat outtings, with Sangha, Matthew Gikes, and Daniel Sams each earning a 91 run, 93 run, and 98 run performance respectively. Alex Hales was the big hero in their first meeting with a strong 80 run performance.

On the other side, Ben Mcdermott has been simply stunning with the bat in his hands this season for Hobart. He alone scored 93 against Brisbane, 98 against Adelaide, and a League best 127 against the Renegades. He leads the entire league with 457 total runs this season, and a batting average nearing 70. Sydney was able to get him out, on a catch, on just 38 runs in their first meeting.

All in all, Sydney is a stronger all around team. Hobart relies too much on one man, and while that man is the best in the league batting, I'll take the team in form. Sydney is on 6 straight wins, and I think they have what it takes to make it 7. If you want to watch the highlights from their first meeting, I will link it below:

For player props on DK, I like Hales and McDermott over 24.5 runs (both are at -120).
