AFCON (African Cup of Nations) second day is here and one of the favorites, Senegal, is playing an early game today. Senegal has a lot of quality with players that play in some of the top European teams. I believe that with the likes of Mane, Sarr, Gueye and Dia they will have no problem walking over Zimbabwe.
Senegal have won 4 out of their 5 games in all competitions scoring at least twice in every win they had in these last 5 games. On the other hand Zimbabwe has not won any of their last five drawing 2 and losing 3. Yes they conceded 2 or more goals just in one of those games but none of the teams except Ghana was somewhat in a level with Senegal. Moreover, these teams played each other last year in July in a game Senegal won 2-1 playing just youngsters.
Today with their starting 11 I think it will be fairly easy for them to beat Zimbabwe as they are one of the worst AFCON teams this year (their last win is 13 games ago). Thus, I believe Senegal will take this chance and make a statement in their first game to fully establish themselves as one of the main favorites of thsi competition.
