Pick #2: Sevilla to win (1.60)
Second placed Sevilla awaits 16th placed Getafe today for this round of La Liga. Sevilla undoubtably one of the best teams in La Liga this season and it is somehow fighting for the league title against Real Madrid being 8 points behind with two games in hand, which if they are translated to wins it means Sevilla will just be two points behind Real.
Therefore, I believe they are extra motivated to win today against a struggling Getafe. Sevilla is one of the best home teams in the league and Getafe is one of the worst away teams in the league. Away from home Getafe has gotten only 4 points in 9 games, scoring just 3 goals in the meantime and conceding 11. These points all came from draws against mediocre team like Levante, Alaves etc.
On the other hand, Sevilla has won 7 out of 9 home games this year being stopped in two draws only by Barcelona and Alaves. Considering that Getafe has had two wins which helped them get out of the relegation zone I believe their luck is gone now and it’s time to gobback to reality again after beating Real Madrid last week. So, I believe Sevilla takes this one to continue pushing for the title.
Also Sevilla does not have any important player missing besides Fernando as the others have been injured for almost all season, while Getafe is also missing one starting defender and midfielder.
