Pick #1: Girona to win (1.75)
Girona faces Fuenlabrada today for this round of the second Spanish league. Girona started the season badly but have been great lately getting 5 wins in a row at home and in general winning 8 out of their last 10 games. The only games they did not win were a loss against 3rd placed Eibar and a draw against 10th placed Ibiza.
On the other hand Fuenlabrada is bad. They’re sitting in the 20th place and are one of the worst away teams on the league. They havw managed to get only 7 points away from home while scoring 5 goals in 10 games. I think Girona will be able to take advantage of this away form of Fuenlabrada and take the much needed points for them as Girona is fighting for promotion. Yeah Fuenlabrada is also fighting to stay in the league but Girona has much more quality and should win this game fairly easily.
They played each other in October when Girona was not in such a good form and they still managed to win away from home (even with one red card more than Fuenlabrada). So I think they’ll be able to replicate that today and get a win here.
