The last wta tour level tournament of the year kicked off yesterday in Austria. WTA Linz is an indoors tournament which is adored by the specialists of the surface. Ekaterina Alexandrova is one of them. She is the runner up of 2020 and and SFs of 2018-19. She really knows how to play in this tournament.
Despite having a bad season, Ekaterina has levelled up her form recently and played WTA Moscow Final which is an another indoors tournament. She missed the title in a tragic manner vs on-fire Kontaveit while leading the match by 6-4, 4-1. I believe that she will have a good week in Austria too. Her opponent Tsurenko had struggled with injuries throughout the season and newly returned back playing tennis. I think that Alexandrova will make strong start in this tournament.
