For my fourth pick of the week I'm taking the Yankees to cover the 1.5 run spread on the road against Baltimore. I think my logic behind this one is simple, yet extremely valid. The Orioles completely blew a 3-2 lead last night in the top of the ninth to the Yankees, which provides the Bombers with some much needed momentum. It's also no secret that Baltimore is not a good baseball team, while the Yankees still have much to fight for.

The Yanks are in a neck and neck race for either of the wildcard spots, racing against teams such as the Red Sox, Blue Jays, Mariners, and Athletics. The Red Sox play the Orioles as soon as their series is over vs. the Yankees, so it's incredibly important for the Yankees to complete the series sweep tonight.

Jordan Montgomery struggled in his last outing against the Mets, but the O's are a much different team and Montgomery has been one of New York's more reliable starters all season long. I'm expecting the Yankees to come out guns blazing tonight, and for the rest of the season as thats surely how long this battle for the playoffs will last for.
