Welcome back gang! 4-1 on our last 5 of these Pine Plays of the Day, let's stay hot. Today rolling with the Cleveland Guardians F5 ML -132.

Guardians are one of the few surprise teams here this season in the MLB. The offense has really turned it around and have gone from one of the worst teams in slugging to middle of the pack. Lots of young talent filling this lineup to go with some proven commodities. Today they go up against Chase Anderson, who is a former Brewer, and on the decline of his career. Anderson has been very lucky this season, and should be seeing the negative regression coming shortly. He has a .182 BABIP versus righties and a 4.82 FIP, with his XFIP at 5.27 and a 3.29 XFIP to LHB and only a 1.29 FIP. Lots of luck involved, but really no swings and misses. With only a 11% K rate to righties this season and 5.27 XFIP, I like the young guys like David Fry and Tyler Freeman to step up here in a big way. Lastly, why I really love this spot, is because his pitch mix is going to be perfect for these Guardians LHB. Anderson uses 75% Changeup/Cutter against righties this year, these are the numbers for the top lefties in the order against those 2.

Ramirez - vs RHP Changeup - .412 batting average/.706 slug                                                                   Kwan - RHP Changeup - .357 Batting average vs Cutter .308 batting average                                      Naylor - Changeup - .300 BA/1.000 Slug + Cutter .554 XBA/1.051 XSLG

Brutal Matchup here for Anderson, as the Guardians look to continue their strong start to the season.
