After a cold week trying to defend my title in last weeks challenge. i decided to take a few days off to see if that'll help gain a little momentum back. My first pick this week is the Dodgers spread against the Pirates tonight at -1.5 (-165)
Part of this pick simply comes from the fact that the Dodgers are one of if not the best team in the league and the Pirates are one of the worst. Besides that, I decided to look at the total runs scored by the Dodgers in just their past 5 games and I think I've found a trend.
The first two games of their series against the Mets saw them score a respectable six runs, then a subpar two runs before their bats finally came to life and erupted for fourteen runs on Sunday night. In this series against the Pirates, the bats have been a bit slow as well, scoring two runs and four runs in games one and two respectively. I'm banking on the bats coming to life in game three of this series, just like they did at Citi Field.
