Hello and welcome to another edition of Money on the Board! In this article I'll share with you 4 of my favorite NHL player props for today's slate - a goal, an assist, a point, and a shot on goal prop. To keep things from getting too chalky, at least two of the props will be plus money. Yesterday was rough, going 1-3. Looking to bounce back from that here tonight. Let's get to it.
Kevin Fiala Goal (+175)
Goals in 6 of his last 7 games, including 4 straight on home ice. Had a goal when they played the Canucks last week. While LA's offense has been streaky, Vancouver is an ideal opponent, having given up the 6th most goals per game on the road over the last month.
Roman Josi Assist (-120)
Helpers in 4 of his last 5 games overall, with a 61% hit rate on home ice this season. Josi has been on a heater lately and gets to face off with Montreal tonight. Josi has assists in each of his last 5 meetings with the Habs, including a pair of apples when the teams played in December. The Preds are one of the top scoring teams in the league at the moment while Montreal has given up the 3rd most goals per game over the last month on the road.
Valteri Puustinen Point (+125)
Young prospect elevated to a top 6 position with the injuries to Guentzel & Rust. I probably wouldn't ride with this in every game, but vs a lowly Columbus squad that Crosby & company have generally dominated? Yes please. Slated to get top line & PP1 minutes with Sid, I like this spot for the youngster. He has points in 4 of his last 6 games, including both home games. The Blue Jackets have given up the 2nd most goals per game on the road over the last month.
Cole Caufield 4+ Shots on Goal (-118)
Over in 8 of his last 9 on the road, Caufield has a 56% hit rate in games this season. Montreal will be looking to put an end to Nashville's win streak tonight, and while the Preds have won 8 straight, over the last month at home they have been near the top of the league in shots allowed per game.
