Simons has been one of my favorite players to bet on this season. The guy has been lights out when healthy and in competitive game environments. I also think we are getting a great buy low spot here for Simons. He's only hit this in one of his last 5 games, but his usage rate and minutes are still great. In games decided by 15 or less this month, Simons has averaged 40 minutes, 19 shot attempts and 20 points. Now we have the best matchup that there is. The Indiana Pacers are the fastest team in basketball, one of the best offenses and play absolutely no defense. Even in their recent trade, they proved how little defense they care about playing, trading away their best defensive player in Bruce Brown. The Pacers rank last in points in the paint, bottom 5 in 3 pointers allowed per game and are coming off a grueling game last night in Sacramento. All their starters played 30 + minutes, and we still may not have Haliburton or Siakam tonight. With a 5 point spread on the books for tonight, I went back and looked at Simons full year numbers when games are decided by 12 or less points. Simons is 6-2 to this number, and has scored 23+ in 6 of 8 and one of those games he left after 22 minutes with injury. Expecting a pretty massive workload for him tonight with no Shaedon Sharpe and Brogdon only playing around 26-30 minutes.
