Taking a look at Giannis Antetokounmpo over 42,5 PRA for Game 2.

I'm back for my 3rd pick of the LIIC. Last night Ayton had 22 points and the Suns won by 13 points, so as of now I'm 2-0! In Game 1, Giannis surprised everybody by playing just a week after suffering a hyper-extended knee. He totaled 20 points, 17 rebounds, and 4 assists for a total of 41 PRA in only 35.3 minutes.

Currently, Giannis' PRA line for Game 2 is set at 42.5. To show you why I like the over in Game 2, lets take a look at some data.

*For the below data, I chose to exclude Game 4 against the Hawks on June 29th, as this was the game that he got injured in. He had in 25 PRA in 24 minutes that game.*

In these playoffs, Giannis has cleared this line in 11/15 games, 73.3%, with an average of 47.13 PRA.

In these games, he has averaged 38.12 minutes played per game.

This equates to an average of 1.2364 PRA per minute played for Giannis. Using this number, Giannis would need to play 34.78 minutes in Game 2 to reach 43 PRA. I definitely expect him to get 35 minutes.

Looking at Giannis' regular season games versus Phoenix, he cleared the line in both games, with totals of 63 and 43.

Zooming out to the entire regular season, Giannis had 43+ PRA in 40/60 games, 66.7%.

In regular season games in which Giannis played at least 35 minutes, he had over 42.5 PRA in 27/29 games, 93.1%. Including his playoff games brings the number to 37/40 games, 92.5%. That's pretty good.

Obviously, this line is discounted due to concerns over Giannis' health. At times he did look like he was breathing heavily. But now with 2 more days of rest for his knee and having had the in-game experience that he lacked for a week prior to Game 1, I expect him to come out looking to dominate in Game 2. If Milwaukee falls down 0-2 in the series, their chances of winning decrease significantly. Historically speaking, only 30/434, 6.9% of teams, have been able to come back from an 0-2 deficit in NBA playoff history. I think Giannis knows this and I think Coach Bud knows this, so I predict Bud will give Giannis around 40 minutes in Game 2.

In what is a crucial game for Milwaukee, I expect Giannis to try to put the team on his back once again, clearing 42.5 PRA in the process.
