With his recent form, history against the Panthers, and the potential absence of DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawk Tyler Lockett is primed to fly past his line of 53.5 receiving yards in the upcoming NFL showdown.

Tyler Lockett has been one of the most dependable receivers in the NFL, and his ability to make big plays has been a highlight for the Seattle Seahawks. With a game against the Carolina Panthers on the horizon, there’s a strong case to be made that Lockett is set to have a standout performance.

Over his last 20 games, Lockett has racked up more than 53.5 receiving yards in 11 of them. That's a 55% success rate, while his average has dipped slightly to 60.4 yards over his last 10 games, he's still managed to surpass that 53.5-yard mark in seven of them.

Sure, his form has been on a downward trend in his last five games, averaging 47.2 yards and crossing the 53.5-yard mark only three times. But let's not forget the X-factor in this equation: the potential absence of fellow Seahawk receiver DK Metcalf.

Metcalf, a powerhouse in his own right, is currently listed as questionable due to a recent rib injury. If Metcalf is sidelined, Lockett could see an uptick in targets, increasing his chances of racking up those crucial yards.

Seattle offensive coordinator Shane Waldron has shown his ability to adjust his scheme based on the personnel available. If Metcalf is out, expect to see more quick games and play-action passes, putting Lockett in prime position to make plays.
