With an upward trajectory in his recent batting performance, Dominic Canzone is the player to keep an eye on for today's Cincinnati vs Seattle matchup.

According to my trusty Ballpark Pal, Great American Ballpark is projected to yield a bounty of extra base hits and runs once again. It’s time to turn our attention to a Seattle Mariner not named Julio or Teoscar, or even Cal. I’m looking at Dominic Canzone.

Baseball is a game of streaks and slumps, and I’m looking to catch this guy mid-streak. He’s notched at least two total bases in seven of his last 10 games, including five of his last 6. He’s currently on a six game hit streak, and as an away batter in a park with a reputation of generating hits and runs, he should get plenty of chances to keep the streak alive.

Of his 33 hits this season (.246 overall BA), 16 of them have been for extra bases. But, again, based on the projected abundance of runs, he may just get a chance to punch in a couple of singles.
