One of my favorite things to bet on in baseball is batter hits/runs/RBI props. A strategy I look for when doing so, which is the same as when I go for total bases, is to look at the park factors (i.e. weather, historical effect of park itself, etc.). I’m taking a look at Ballpark Pal, and it’s the top rated game for number of runs expected as well as number of home runs projected. It’s also looking good for extra base hits.

Great American Ballpark always seems like a great place for dingers and runs in general all season, especially when the weather is good/warm. So, with a bunch of runs and extra base hits expected, why not choose a guy from this game?

Enter, Spencer Steer. Ok fine, the “robot” only “kinda likes the over.” No worries. I really like it!  As you can see, he’s reached that number in seven of his last 10 games, including six of his last seven. His most recent achievement was the 3-run banger last night. He’s also hit the number in over half of games he’s played in all season, and about three quarters of the last 15 games.

In the end, I think Steer will continue to shine on the heels of his 3-run homer from yesterday.
