Entree (1u) - LaMonte Wade Jr 1+ Hit / Donovan Solano 1+ Hit (+117 DK)

Both players bat lead off tonight so this already gives us the upper hand when it involves plate appearances. No pressure on them to bring themselves home or bring other runners in right out the gate. Get your hit and get on base.

Donovan Solano is facing Reid Detmers tonight and Detmers hasn't gotten off to the best start this season. He's allowed 5 or more hits in 5/7 starts. The Twins aren't a great team when facing left handed pitchers but that's mainly due to 7 of their 9 starting batters being right handed and Reid oddly enough showing more control when facing righties rather than lefties. Detmers has allowed 2 or more in every start this season but only 3 of the 7 starts has he exceeded 2 runs. Solano has a hit in 53% of games. He's also averaging a .321 batting average on balls in play vs lefties with a .294 wOBA and a low 16.7 K%. Overall, Solano has a 84% contact rate, which is the best on the Twins but he also has the 2nd best contact percentage versus a 4-seam and 2nd best contact percentage versus a slider. Reid Detmers throws 41% 4-seam, 36% slider vs right-handed batters.

LaMonte has a hit in 56% of games. He’s averaging a .234 ISO and a .419 wOBA in 25 plate appearances vs righties this season. He’s got a low 16% strikeout rate and a 80% contact percentage. Sandy throws a change up and 4-seam vs LHB, which Wade averages a .324 wOBA, .227 ISO, a 29% whiff rate (2nd lowest on team), and a 71% contact percentage versus the change up. Sandy also throws the 4-seam, which Wade is averaging a .402 wOBA, .304 ISO, and a 83.5%  contact rate, which is 4th on the team over the past 3 seasons.

Let me know what you think about the play!
