Entree (1u) - Juan Soto 1+ Walk / Freddie Freeman 1+ Hit (+100 DraftKings)

Baseball is a long season and there isn't many guys in this league that I'd count on day in and day out to bet on. However, I would do that with Juan Soto drawing a walk and Freddie Freeman getting a hit. Starting with Soto, he faces the Royals and Brady Singer tonight. Singer only has a 6% walk rate on the season but he's allowing an 8% walk rate to left handed batters, which suites Soto. Juan Soto has a 21.8% walk rate on 586 plate appearances versus right handed pitchers. He leads the league in walks with 38, which is 5 more than Matt Olson, who is second in walks. Singer has a ground ball rate of 47.9% and he tends to throw a slider and sinker the most versus lefties. Soto has a 5.68% whiff rate versus the sinker, which is LOW. Singer does strike out lefties more than righties but Soto only has a 14.5 strikeout rate versus right handed pitchers.

Going over Freddie Freeman, he's getting older but still one of the more dominant players in the MLB. Over 647 plate appearances, he is averaging a .194 ISO and a .404 wOBA versus right handed pitchers and is holding an impressively low 12.8 strikeout percentage with a really high 13.1% walk rate. He will get himself on base. Within those 647 plate appearances, he's averaging an 84% contact rate. Bailey Ober has a small sample size but he's been worse versus lefties throughout the start of his career. He's striking out right handers 28% of the time but only 17.9% for lefties. He's walking lefties 8.6% but only 2.4% for righties. Freeman has a hit in 8 of his last 10 games and has had 2+ hits in 4 of his last 5 games. He's hitting .321 versus right handed pitchers and Ober is allowing a .283 batting average versus lefties.

My expectation is for Freddie to get 5 plate appearances tonight minimum and should see plenty of opportunities with Ober throwing a curveball, changeup, and 4-seam the most versus left handed batters. Might have to stay up late for this bet to cash but let's get after it!
