Pick #7 - MacKenzie Gore over 2.5 walks(+125)
Took me a while to pull the trigger on this. The lines for this game didn't get posted until late this morning because the Os were still trying to decide on a starting pitcher. I was looking at Gore's numbers and figured he was as good a candidate as any to go over his walk line.
Again, the Os are seeing the ball really well right now. Even in a one run game last night, they forced the Nats starter into four BB. On the season they've forced 14 out of 17 starting pitchers over their given walk lines.. and they've seen some talented arms. They're averaging 7 walks/game over their L3 which is about double the league average. I'm taking them to push just about any starter over their walk line.
Gore has already gone over this line in two of three starts, issuing 4, 2, and 4 walks. Those starts were against less disciplined teams than Baltimore. When the line dropped and it was plus money, I almost backed off because I felt like I'm missing something. If I am missing something I can't figure out what it is so, I'm locked in. Go Os!
PS- No data from the Pine Bot on this game, probably because the lines came out late. The game wasn't even on most books this morning when I checked so... no chart for this post :(
