Pick #4: Josiah Gray over 2.5 walks(-145)

I tried to stay away from this one.  I really did.  But I can't quit these walk lines against the Os.

There were a lot of options to choose from for my Orioles pick of the day but, I kept coming back to this for one main reason.  Gray lead the entire NL in walks last year...and that was with five less appearances than most of the other leaders in that category.  He has been better on the free passes this year, giving up 2, 1, 2 in his first three starts but, he takes the mound against one of the most plate disciplined teams in baseball.

I'll have to double check my notes but I'm pretty sure the Os have pushed 13 out of 16 opposing starters over their respective BB lines.  They see more pitches per plate appearance than any other team in the MLB and are third in total walks collected.  In their last series against Chicago, they collected 9, 10, and 7 walks.  14 of those came from the three starters they saw(5, 4, 5).

2.5 is a high walk line so the Pine Bot calls it a coin flip but, I'm betting on the Birds. Go Os!
