Pick #2: Rockies 1st 3 Innings Money Line(-135)

Rich Hill vs Kyle Freeland l. I think this is a 3-pronged attack.

1-Freeland hasn't given up a run in the first three innings yet this year.  Not one in three starts. He'll have to eventually but I'm hoping tonight isn't the night.

2-Hill hasn't gotten out of the first three innings clean yet this year.  In his first three starts he's allowed 3, 5 and 1 earned runs over the first third of the ballgame. Pittsburgh has been behind heading into the 4th inning of all of his outings.

3- Colorado isn't a great hitting team and neither is Pittsburgh. Only three RBIs separate them and both are in the bottom eight of the league in that category. But, minus their three-hit shutout yesterday, Colorado has been pretty good at scoring early lately. They scored at least once in the first three innings of each of their last three games and have done so in five of their last six... again that doesn't count the shutout yesterday.

The Pine Bot agrees that Freeland should allow less than half the earned runs that Hill gives up tonight.  I'm locking that in to play out in the first three innings.
