Pick 7: Shintaro Fujinami over 1.5 Walks(-145)

My over on walks selection method seems to be going pretty well so far. I've been looking for pitchers who are matched up against dangerous hitting lineups and got shelled in their last outing. Those guys seem to be a little less eager to come over the plate, resulting in more walks.

Today that brings us to Fujinami. He posted a 30.86 ERA in 2.1 innings of work in his season opener. He also gave up three walks in the short appearance. He takes the mound against the hottest hitting team in baseball, Tampa Bay. The Rays have batted in a league high 52 runs and are 7-0 on the season. If any lineup should scare a pitcher away from the strike zone right now, it's TB.

TB is just below the league average in walks taken but, that's because they've been smacking the cover off the ball. I know their hot streak has to end at some point but, even if it's today, I think they can still generate at least two walks against the As starters. If you think Fujinami will bring it over the plate today to avoid the walks, consider taking his ERA over 2.5 at -110.

I couldn't find Fujinami in the Pine Sheets/Bot so sorry for no graphs. I'm also out of state so I can't lock it in but, I would if I were you!
