1u - Kevin Durant O 22.5 pts (-113, FD)

Look, I understand that he is with a new team, and he is just coming back from an injury, but this is KD we are talking about. 22.5 is way to low for me to not take a shot at it. Durant is coming off of a bad game, scoring only 16 points on 27.8% shooting, but again, this is KD. I doubt one of the most unstoppable scorers this game has to offer will have two bad scoring nights in a row. This is a huge game that could have major implications in a 7 game series in the playoffs. All the stars will be out to play with something to prove. Also, so much for whatever minute restriction they were planning on for KD. He played nearly 29 min against the T-wolves, which is more than enough time for him to score 23.

I feel I don't have to go into depth about how good KD is at basketball, but here are a quick few stats. KD on the season shoots 55.9% from the field, not 28%. KD averages 29.2 pts on the season and has scored 23+ points in 37 of his 43 games. Not only this but KD will get his shots up. Even though he is sharing the court with other great players like Devin Booker, he still managed to record 15+ FGA in 3 of his 4 games with PHO. I expect lots of regression in each of these categories and do not expect KD to have a repeat of last game.

Denver does have a very good defense, but they have some weak points, one of them being precisely KD's position. DEN in their L15 games has given up the 2nd most pts to SF. Not only that, In his career, KD has averaged 25.4 pts against Nikola Jokic, going over this line in 11 of those 16 games. If Jokic does not play, then that is ok, because the Nuggets without Jokic are pitiful. Last game without Jokic, the rest of the Nuggets allowed Brandon Ingram - a player very similar in playstyle to KD - to score 31 on them, further showing their weakness to the SF position.

At the end of the day, its KD. I know Devin Booker is good, but KD is great. It is only a matter of time before he gets settled in with Phoenix and gets back to his old self. KD will get his shots up and usually, he doesn't miss that often. The chances of KD having a good game are way better than the chances that he has two bad games in a row, in front of a home crowd just waiting to explode for their new superstar. It is never a bad idea to bet on the Slim Reaper.
