1u - Khris Middleton O 24.5 pts+ast (-120, FD)

Two heavyweights are set to collide. Two MVP candidates set to go head to head. With a spread of just 2.5, this game is set up to be one of the best of the year. Each 1 seed wants to prove they are the best right at the end of the season before the playoffs begin. This is a perfect test for both teams to prove that they are ready to compete for a championship and could very well be a preview of a seven game series that is yet to come.

The Milwaukee bucks have been very good all season, but they are just now starting to come in into championship form as one of their key players, Khris Middleton, reverts back to his old self after a long injury recovery process. Khris in his last 7 games has started all 7 and has played an average of 31.6 minutes, finally showing that he is no longer on a minutes restriction. This Middleton-Antetokounmpo connection is just beginning to grow back and I think this game is the perfect time for it to blossom into what it once was.

This will be the bucks biggest challenge since Khris has been back to his old self, and everyone will need to be at their best for them to win this one. Denver has allowed the 10th most assists to small forwards and the most assists to point guards this season. Although Khris is a small forward, he touches the ball a lot with a usage rate of 25.6%, second to only Giannis on the bucks. He also runs point a decent amount just to give Jrue a break. This is just a good matchup for Khris to get assists in general, and I wouldn't be surprised if he threw 7-9 dimes this evening, including a couple of easy ones to Giannis down low.

Middleton has also been ramping up his production in points, averaging 20 points along with his 7.7 assists at an eFG% of 55.0% in his last 7 games. His confidence has also been way up, as he has been taking more and more shots. In his last 6 games, he is averaging 15.2 FGA, which is much higher than his season average 12.1. I feel that in this game - this kind of matchup - 15 is the floor for Khris, with a ceiling around 18 shots. If Khris shoots as much as I predict him to tonight, shooting at the efficiency that he has been, I feel very confident that he can score roughly 20 or so, easily helping him past the line of 24.5.

In his last 7 games, Middleton has hit this line in 4 games, but he is right there every game. He missed this line once having only 23 and once having only 24 pts+ast. In his last game against Denver about two months ago, he scored 10 points and dished out 3 assists in only 15 minutes. If you adjust that for the 30 minutes he has been playing, that is 20 pts and 6 ast. Khris has progressed a lot since then so he should put up even better numbers this time around. I think that Khris and Giannis both step up this game and the entire offense should revolve around those two, meaning that Khris should have plenty of opportunities to get points and assists.
