Over the past 6 games Caris LeVert has scored 15 or more points in each game he’s played. His line for Points+Rebounds currently sits at 14.5 on DraftKings for a price of -120.

This is a situation that isn’t uncommon with bench players. However, LeVert’s usage combined with the matchup against the Nets, really makes me question what the books are looking at here.

His usage has been trending up in a major way over the last 10 games as it appears that the Cavs are really starting to lean on the 6th man here to take pressure off of starting guards Mitchell and Garland as we get down the stretch. All the better for us as bettors, as this is a trend that should continue tonight vs the same Nets team that CLE squared off against 2 days ago.

In that game, LeVert saw 31 minutes and scored 18 points while grabbing a couple of boards as well.

The lineups remain the same in the game tonight, and the Cavs actually had one less day of rest than they did vs Brooklyn on 3/21. The reason I’m noting that is because there really aren’t any factors that would implicate a change in usage for LeVert tonight.

Also, the SG position is a weak spot for the Nets on defense. They allow the 4th most points to SGs this season, and LeVert has proven to be able to score against them already.

It’s very possible that LeVert beats this 14.5 line with just points alone. He’s scored 15+ in each of his last 6 games. But if he doesn’t, he certainly will be close to that mark. In which case, a few rebounds will get us there a large majority of the time.

I see this as a very high-value play tonight, as the Cavs are looking to conserve their stars down the stretch.

Again, I think this is just a bad line, and would take this spot regardless of the matchup. However, it happens to also be a great matchup for scoring guards and that just adds to the enthusiasm for us as bettors.

My Pick: C. LeVert o14.5 P+R (-120) at DraftKings
