Entrée (1u) - Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC) OVER 29.5 Points/ OKC +16.5 (-110 DK)

This is a harder bet to follow if you aren't a data guy. SGA has exploded into one of the best scorers in the league. He's averaging 31.4 points per game this season and has scored 34.2 points per game over his last 10 games. He gets a tougher matchup on paper with the Los Angeles Clippers. They only allow the 10th most points and are 15th in field goal percentage allowed and 12th in points in the paint. SGA also gets to the free throw line a ton but they're only 7th in free throws allowed per game. You're probably wondering then why do I put my money on this? There are only a few teams in this league that have found a way to stop SGA. Those two teams that I know he's struggled against are Toronto and Memphis.

He's faced this Clippers team twice this season. He scored 33 in one game and 24 in the other. The game where he scored 24, he only took 2 free throw attempts compared to his 10.8 average on the season and 13.4 average in his last 10 games. This line is only 30+ points for SGA because the Thunders are the best team in the NBA against the spread. The books have the Clippers as 6.5 point favorites and even though OKC is on the road, I'm not sure I love that number for the Clippers at home. The Clippers are 16-19-1 at home against the spread and have a margin of victory of only 1.7. SGA is averaging 32 points on the road in his last 10 games and the Clippers are allowing the 2nd most points to opposing point guards and allowing the 4th most points to opposing teams primary scorers.

I'm only asking for 30+ out of SGA but there has to be some fight in the OKC Thunder tonight even if they go down. I'd like to think 16 points is safe for the best team against the spread and SGA should look to dominate the mid-range area and get to the charity stripe tonight vs this Clippers team. He's got the best matchup when he comes back in the 2nd quarter and gets Terrance Mann, who is the Clippers worst rated defender over their last 7 games. Look for him to eat in the 2nd quarter. Let me know what you think!
