Entree (1u) - Chris Paul (PHX) OVER 9.5 Assists (-115 MGM)

The Suns are playing games for the next 3 weeks like they didn't just make a major trade and are without a few role players like Cam Johnson and Mikal Bridges. Kevin Durant is injured... again. However, that's a benefit for this prop. Durant sees a high usage rate and with him on the floor and the ball in his hands, the less likely I would be to bet on Paul's assists. Tonight, we should see the Suns operate how we've seen them operate before the Durant trade.

Firstly, let's talk about the pieces around him. He's still got scorers in Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton to dish the rock to. One of those guys in specific I love his matchup and think that his matchup will contribute to a ton of assists for Chris Paul. That's Deandre Ayton. He scored 29 points versus the Kings on the 14th of February in a game where Paul recorded 19 assists. Ayton should continue that strong performance tonight as the Kings allow the 3rd most points in the paint, allowing the 7th most points to centers, and are allowing centers to score 1.89 more points than their season average against them. Kings are allowing the 27th most points and are 29th in field goal percentage allowed. Ayton should get plenty of clean looks at the rim off the pick and roll game with Chris Paul.

Paul also has a great matchup. Kings play fast, which should allow the Suns to have extra possessions for more potential assists from Paul. Kings are allowing the 2nd most assists to point guards and are allowing point guards to record 2.02 more assists than their season average. Kings are 2nd in the west and haven't been an easy team to beat so without Kevin Durant, I could see this game being very close tonight.
