Pick 9: UVA Moneyline -102 (Fanduel)

Despite Virginia Tech's talented team, I believe the University of Virginia is in a good position to continue its seven-game win streak against its arch rival.

With a 7 game win streak coming into Saturday's match-up between the University of Virginia and Virginia Tech, the Cavaliers are looking to keep the momentum going against their archrival. When these two teams faced off on January 18th, UVA was able to come away with a comfortable 10-point win.

In the game two weeks ago, Virginia Tech was outpaced by UVA in both offensive and defensive efficiency. The Cavaliers ranked 15th in the country in offensive efficiency and 13th in defensive efficiency, while the Hokies ranked 91st and 94th in those respective categories. UVA's strong offense and defense give them an advantage in the upcoming game.

Virginia Tech has the talent to stay competitive in this match-up, but they have been inconsistent throughout the season. The Hokies have only put together two winning streaks this season, and they have both been three-game stretches. This lack of consistency suggests that it may be difficult for the Hokies to compete with a team like UVA, which has been able to string together seven straight wins.

The Cavaliers come into Saturday's match-up with plenty of momentum, and they should be able to keep it going against Virginia Tech. UVA's offense has been particularly potent lately. The Cavaliers have scored at least 80 points in six of their last seven games, and they have averaged an impressive 85.4 points per game during that span. With the Cavaliers' offensive firepower, it is difficult to imagine Virginia Tech keeping up.

The Hokies' home floor advantage could be enough to keep the game close, but I believe UVA is in a favorable position to extend their win streak to eight games. Virginia Tech may be able to compete with UVA, but the Cavaliers' steady play and efficient offense should be enough to come away with the victory.
