1U Terry Rozier (CHA) over 21.5 points (-120) available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of initial post to Twitter. Would pair his alt line of 20+ points with another play in that game as an alternative if you missed out this morning.

Terry Rozier is someone you can count on to shoot the ball with volume. The 28-year-old Louisville product is averaging a career-high 19.5 FGA per game this season in a career-high 35.7 minutes per game. Rozier has seen another uptick in volume with the absence of Kelly Oubre Jr. who is currently injured. In Rozier's last 8 games he has averaged 21.5 FGA with no fewer than 19 shots in any of those games and 8.67 of them coming from behind the arc. He has eclipsed this 21.5 line in 6 of those games for an average of 25.5 PPG. Terry can be a streaky player which was evident in his last matchup with the Pistons when he shot just 8 for 28 from the field. Despite a horrid shooting performance, and Oubre Jr. (27), Lamelo Ball (18), and PJ Washington (17) having massive shot volume of their own, Rozier was still able to pour in 25 points, easily clearing this number.

The matchup is truly an ideal one for high-volume scoring guards as the Pistons defense allows nearly anything the opposition wants. In the last 15 games Detroit ranks 29th in DRTG, 27th in opponents points off turnovers, dead-last in PITP allowed, and have allowed over 123 PPG. Rozier scores 39.9% of his points in the paint which is the highest mark since his rookie season and he loves to get out and run, averaging the 13th most transition possessions per game in the league. On the season Detroit allows the 4th most FTA per game and Rozier is averaging a career-best 3.4 FTA (shot 7/8 from foul line in first matchup.) His mid-range has become a larger aspect of his game this season and he is still a volume launcher from deep, averaging 8.1 hoists per game while Detroit is middle of the pack defending the arc. The Pistons switch a ton of screens, leaving ball-handlers and creators with room to operate in mismatches. As a result, their isolation defense is the worst in the league, ranking dead-last in efficiency and allowing the most isolation PPG. They also struggle mightily defending PnR ball-handlers and Rozier averages 7.2 possessions per game in that situation.

These teams rank 8th and 11th in pace of play this season which is reflected in the 240-point total on the game. We are also projected to see a close-fought game with the spread at only 1, and Rozier should see as many minutes as he wants in this spot. Charlotte did play in a game last night but Rozier's production has remained steady on 0 days rest this season avg 21.5 PPG and 37.3 MPG. I love how condensed the Hornets offense is and the projected range of both minutes and shot attempts for Rozier tonight makes this number a no-brainer bet in this matchup.
