I'm all about Sheffield today.
Sheffield Wednesday are currently in 3rd place of English League 1, winning 46 points in 23 matches, and they're catching up with Ipswich and Pymouth for a direct promotion to Championship - and they have a very decent chance of making it.
Port Vale is in 9th place with 32 points in 22 matches, and they can only hope to catch top 6 to play in play-offs.
Sheffield are on a great losess 11-game run (6 wins, 5 draws), and on Hillborough they've won 3 out of last 5. They're also 5th placed team when playing at home (11 games, 22 points, +12GD), while Port Vale on the road is 11th (11 games, 14 points, -7GD). The fact that Port Vale didn't score in last 2 away matches is quite concerning for Clarke's side.
Port Vale are also on a decent run, winning 3 out of last 5 matches. However, those were against teams who are in relegation zone (Morecambe 1-0 win), bottom of the table (Charlton 1-0 win). The only one that was fascinating was win against 1st placed Plymouth. Otherwise, whenever they faced "stronger" opposition they've been dropping points (1-0 loss against Bristol), and they even managed to get battered 4-0 by Oxford.
